|PRECISION CONTROL NOT POSSIBLE WITH OTHER METHODS
With chemical machining we can maintain tolerances in critical areas as close as +/- 10% of material thickness, whether machined completely through or milled to a specific depth. The only restriction is that the minimum dimension must be equal to the thickness of the metal.
The low tooling costs and the flexibility of the photochemical machining process make it the most cost effective way to produce the small, super thin, intricate metal parts used in electronic and other manufacturing applications.
IDEAL FOR PROTOTYPES AND SHORT PRODUCTION RUNS
Since the photomachining process requires no hard tooling, cutting, grinding or stamping, the Acu-Line method is the fastest, easiest, and most economical method of producing prototypes or short-run parts.
NO VARIATION FROM PROTOTYPE TO PRODUCTION
The photographic process used in chemical machining ensures that all parts are identical, whether one-of-a-kind or long production runs. The same process is used to produce the thousandth part as was used for the prototype. And, there is no tool wear variation since no cutting tools are used.
|COMPLEX DESIGN CAPABILITY
Chemical machining is sometimes the only way to produce certain complex parts. At other times it is the only way to produce them at a reasonable cost.
FAST TURNAROUND, SHORT LEAD TIME
Most parts can be delivered within two to three weeks from the time we receive your drawing-about the time required to tool up for most stamping jobs. In emergencies, we can move even faster.
LOW TOOLING COSTS
Tooling costs can be as little as 1/10th the cost of hard tooling and rarely exceeds a few hundred dollars.
MAINTAINS METAL INTEGRITY
Acu-Line's process eliminates burrs and mechanical stress. With chemical machining there is no change in hardness, grain structure, molecular structure of ductility.
EASY MODIFICATION OF DESIGNS
Design modifications can be made quickly and inexpensively because you are not restricted by expensive tool and die costs.
SUITABLE FOR MOST METALS OR ALLOYS
By using chemical reactions to remove metal from specific areas, Acu-Line's process works with virtually any metal or alloy.
